Hyundai – About the History

aThe Hyundai Motor Company is worthy of praise. In business since

1947, the Hyundai Motor Company has evolved tremendously. Today, Hyudai's vehicles look great, integrate high-end technology, and are much more reliable than previous models. In fact, their reliability ratings are now among the very best.

Hyundai's growth is obvious in their numbers, with more than 3.4 million vehicles sold world wide in 2010. Together with Kia, Hyundai belongs to the Hyundai Motor Group, which ranks as the world's fourth largest car maker based on annual vehicle sales. Hyundai Motor Company is, today, the world's largest automaker by profit.

Furthermore, Hyundai operates the world's largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in the world, producing more than 1.6 million units per year, which are sold all over the world in more than 190 countries. Incredible numbers, to say the list.

But what is behind Hyundai's success? What is behind their success? I am pretty sure we are not the first to ask.

One of the main reasons behind Hyundai's success is the speed at which they can develop new products and technology and bring this to the market. While other automakers do not want to introduce design changes, since these may lead to quality problems, Hyundai makes design changes on the fly, while maintaining their quality or even improving their quality.

Another reason for Hyundai's success is taking risks after the quality was achieved. Once high quality was achieved in their products, Hyundai set out to take big risks, such as offering what is now known as America's Best Warranty to stand behind their products. Those risks also went into the drawing board, as Hyundai began to develop cars with more aggressive designs. For instance, in the industry there was an ideology of keeping midsize sedans styled conservatively. That is what customers were asking, something conservative, but great in quality and pa fair price.

However, Hyundai broke out of the ordinary. One clearly example of this is the Sonata. The Sonata's design broke out of the usual, with its fluid design lines. In addition, Hyundai took very careful notice into how people use their cars and realized how important space is for people. This is reflected in the number of cup holders, for instance, that can be found in Hyundai's vehicles,.
